On Tuesday night, Taylor Swift has reportedly set new records in American Music Awards.
The 2018 American Music Awards ceremony which took place in Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater, the Blank Space singer won awards, she won artist of the year, best rock/rock album for Reputation, the tour of the year award and best pop/rock female artist award. After winning these awards on Tuesday night, Swift has allegedly broken the record for maximum wins by a female artist.
When Swift received the artist of the year award, she encouraged the viewers of American Music Awards to place their vote in the forthcoming midterm elections. It was the second time in a few days time that Taylor Swift talked about voting in the election. A few days ago, Swift posted a photo of her own and revealed that politics means to her and how important it is to cast a vote to appoint a good leader.
Swift talked about the Republican Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn and revealed how she doesn’t like the way Blackburn does things. The very next day, President of the United States, Donald Trump took a swing at the Style singer saying that “he likes Taylor Swift a little less.”
Swift opened the American Music Award ceremony by performing on “I Did Something Bad” from her 2017 album Reputation. Her performance in American Music Awards was her first performance at an award show in three years.
Cardi B, Migos, Kane Brown, Camilla Cabello, Post Malone and Shawn Mendes were also among the winners on Tuesday night.
Artists like Post Malone, Mariah Carey. Benny Blanco, Khalid, Bad Bunny, Ciara, Dua Lipa. Cabello, Zedd, Twenty One Pilots, Carrie Underwood, Ty Dolla Sign, Jennifer Lopez, Halsey, Cardi B, J Balvin, Missy Elliott, Panic! At the Disco, Shawn Mendes and Ella Mai performed at 2018 AMAs. The host of the 2018’s AMAs was Tracee Ellis Ross.
