According to The Wall Street Journal reports on Friday, President Donald Trump’s lawyer has arranged $130,000 amount for a former adult film star in the month before the elections in 2016 so that she will keep her mouth shut from discussing alleged sexual misbehave with her.
A long-time lawyer for the Trump organization, Michael Cohen has allegedly paid the amount to Stephanie Clifford to remain quiet about an encounter between her and Trump at Lake Tahoe in 2006, a year after he has married his third wife, Melania, according to the Journal. Stephanie, who went by the name Stormy Daniels after negotiating a nondisclosure agreement with Michael, has alleged that she had a one-night stand with Trump after they met at the celebrity golf tournament. Michael has told the Washington Post, “These rumors have circulated time and again since 2011.
President Trump once again vehemently denies any such occurrence, as has Ms. Daniels.” All the allegations have been denied by the White House along with an official telling the WSJ that these are old, recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election. Michael has also issued a statement signed by Stormy Daniels which reads that the rumors that she has received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false. It further reads that if she does have a relationship with Donald Trump, we wouldn’t be reading about it in the news but in her book.
In 2016, Trump by denying all the accusations tweeted that the allegations are “100% fabricated and made-up charges” and while on the campaign trail, has called the charges “false allegations and outright lies”. In a statement to WSJ, Michael has said that this is now the second time that they are raising outlandish allegations against his client and they have attempted to perpetuate this false narrative for over a year— a narrative that has been consistently denied by all parties since at least 2011.
